I live, work, and cater to my dog Jethro in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

About me

I’m Jess Zimmerman, the main guy behind Winston Webworks. I’ve been doing graphic design for about 25 years. My career has included work in advertising, corporate, scientific, and educational publishing. Besides web design, I also specialize in maps and book design. I have degrees from American and George Washington Universities. That’s me on the left (the last time I had any hair).

When the project requires special expertise, I have a small group of dedicated people on hand, including two designers, a developer, a programmer, and a business expert. This allows me to assemble the best possible team for your project.

I also teach free classes in web design at the Forsyth County Library in Winston-Salem, NC. Topics include blogging, HTML and CSS coding basics, and web marketing. See the library’s website for more information or to sign up.

In 2010, I won the Forsyth County Governor’s Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service for my library teaching efforts. My mother tells everybody about it (sigh).

Let's talk.
